About the role

As our Reception Manager, you will be at the heart of our guest experience; leading and inspiring the reception and night teams to deliver service excellence every day. You’ll create an environment where your team thrives, managing schedules and attendance with precision to ensure seamless staffing while maintaining a strong work-life balance for your colleagues.

Guest satisfaction will be your driving force as you develop strategies to optimise every aspect of the customer journey, from the warmest welcome at check-in to a smooth and memorable departure. Handling guest feedback and resolving complaints will require not only professionalism but also empathy, ensuring that every challenge becomes an opportunity to enhance the guest experience.

What we’re looking for

Behind the scenes, you’ll maintain operational excellence, refining procedures and ensuring that every interaction reflects the high standards of the hotel and resort.

Managing payroll will be an essential part of your role, balancing budgets with care while protecting the quality of service.

Your commercial mindset will drive revenue growth, maximising occupancy rates, and finding creative ways to upsell hotel services that add value for our guests. Training and development will be a cornerstone of your leadership, equipping your team with the skills and confidence they need to excel.

As a digital-savvy manager, you’ll ensure that the team is proficient in key operational systems like the Property Management System (PMS), streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency across all areas. Together, you and your team will create unforgettable experiences for every guest who walks through our doors.

The ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will have:
Experience: At least 3 years in a leadership role within hospitality, where you’ve demonstrated your ability to make things happen.
Skills: Great communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills that keep everything running smoothly and efficiently.
Character: A motivated and positive manager who inspires others, fosters a can-do attitude, and creates an uplifting environment where challenges are seen as opportunities for growth.
Knowledge: A solid understanding of hospitality systems, with a track record of boosting guest satisfaction and driving revenue.
Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for delivering exceptional service and creating a positive, supportive team atmosphere.


What we offer:
Hospitality is all about looking after people and we are committed to our people. We work hard to ensure you can enjoy your job and feel well rewarded and well supported:
• Salary £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, paid monthly (dependant on experience)
• 40 hours per week, Shifts Monday to Sunday including weekends & bank holidays
• Flexibility on shifts required and will include some bank holiday, weekend and evening work.
• 28 days holiday per annum, (increasing with length of service to a maximum of 33) – pro-rated for part-time
