Receptionist

Unique opportunity

Our Main Reception is based in the beautifully Old Hall on the Rutland Hall Estate, and we are now seeking a full-time Receptionist to join our team, someone who will leave a lasting first impression on our guests upon arrival, ensure they have a memorable stay whilst with us and give a heartfelt goodbye upon departure.

Join The Team

The role involves welcoming and checking in guests to our 66-bedroom hotel and 49 lodges, ensuring a warm and efficient arrival experience. A proactive approach to guest requests and requirements is essential, with all guest specifics to be profiled and actioned wherever possible. Accuracy in managing guest accounts is key, ensuring invoices are clear and correct at the end of each visit. You will be responsible for answering telephones promptly and professionally, in line with our standard operating procedures, as well as undertaking general reception administration and support tasks. Shifts are 8 hours on a rota basis between 6:30am and 11:00pm, Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays and weekends, so flexibility is required.

About you

You will have previous experience working in a hospitality reception role and be familiar with reception systems, ideally Guestline and Reslynx, although full training will be provided. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is essential. You should demonstrate a responsible approach to handling guest enquiries and challenges, along with excellent communication skills. Enthusiasm for learning and development is important, as is a commitment to maintaining high personal and professional standards.

What we offer:

Hospitality is all about looking after people and we are committed to our people. We work hard to ensure you can enjoy your job and are well rewarded.
