This Easter, what could be better than a family visit to Rutland Farm Park, just a 7-minute drive from Rutland Hall, to witness the miracle of life, as you welcome newly born lambs, chicks and bunnies.

Twinlakes Theme Park
If you’re looking for a more action-packed escape, Twinlakes Theme Park is the place for you.
From March 22nd to April 14th they’re hosting their eggstreme Easter event, packed with activities and attractions for the whole family. Including an Easter Hunt, featuring thousands of hidden tokens for your little ones to find.
Stay Active During Your Break
Of course, there’s Rutland Water on our doorstep, which makes staying active during your holiday really easy and fun to do. There’s so many activities running throughout the year at Rutland Water, including sailing experiences, fishing courses, escape rooms and driver experiences. Plus, there’s an amazing Aqua Park open from May to September.
Walking and Cycling Routes
If you’re keener on taking off on your own or in a small group, then you can walk or cycle some or all of the off road circular 23-mile circuit around Rutland Water. Cycle hire is available at Whitwell and Normanton. And, as well as the route being one of best in England, you also get to navigate past a selection of excellent pubs and café’s en route – including Rutland Hall Hotel – which is perfect for a stop off drink and bite to eat.
If you’d rather walk than wheel, you’ll be treated to stunning views along the route including walking past the historic and iconic Normanton Church, which sits in the shallows of Rutland Water. If you’re concerned about your little ones lagging behind, there are plenty of shorter walks and trails that are fun and enjoyable – as well as being easier on the legs!
Rutland Water Golf Course
Head along to Rutland Water Golf Course, which boasts some of the finest golfing in the area.
Enjoy panoramic views of Rutland Water, as you take on the challenge of our 18-hole Championship course – you can also bring the kids too for a ride alongside you on our buggies.
Fishing at Rutland Water
If fishing is more your style, Rutland Water welcomes both beginners making their first cast and seasoned anglers with a lifelong passion for fishing, offering an inclusive experience for all.

Easter Carvery Lunch
Join us for our annual fun family Easter egg hunt in the grounds of Rutland Hall on 31st March.
To secure your spot, simply reserve your table for the Easter Carvery lunch. Then, it’s up to you and the family to solve clues and spot signs that will lead to the ultimate Easter treasure.
The Carvery Lunch is available to book on Monday 1st April, although there won’t be an egg hunt running on this day.
Easter Afternoon Tea
Discover some special chocolate mini eggs – eggs-tra to the usual platter. So book an afternoon tea with us and indulge in some added festive delights.
Blossoms restaurant is the perfect destination for unwinding and relaxing – away from the kitchen and the washing up. Let us do all the hard work, while you indulge in a delightful array of delectable finger sandwiches, scrumptious savouries and sweet baked treats – and, of course, those added delicious mini eggs! And, of course, you can upgrade to a sparkling afternoon tea.
Enjoy a Spot of Shopping
If you’d rather swap your delicacies for some designer tags, then you may want to visit some of the first class shopping that Rutland has to offer.
Oakham
Just a few minutes drive from Rutland Hall Hotel, Oakham is a traditional English market town, with a selection of independent and high street retailers to discover.
Rutland, known as the county of good taste, is home to some of the finest produce, so if you’re able to make it to Oakham’s Wednesday or Saturday markets, you will get the chance to pick up fresh, local produce including meats, pies, local cheeses, artisan bread and fresh free-range eggs.
Uppingham
Unlike the classic shops you now find in the high street, Uppingham is home to speciality shops and traditional retailers – many of whom are still family owned and have been so since the 14th century. It’s a destination worth discovering!
