Our People

Edit Housekeeping Manager

I arrived in England 18 years ago and began my first job at Rutland Hall Hotel. Starting as a cleaner, I was promoted to Housekeeping Supervisor after a year and have now proudly been made Housekeeping Manager. Our housekeeping team have recently been awarded ‘Team of the Year’. I couldn’t be prouder. This recognition helps us identify our strengths as a team.

From the moment I arrived for my interview, I fell in love with the hotel and its breath-taking views (which still amazes me after all these years). Despite the challenges of busy days, I love my job and the amazing team I work with.

During my last years at school, we studied ‘rural science’. I developed a love for being outside, watching the seasons change through the plants and the colours that we have on the estate.

I feel at home outside, the small of freshly cut grass or falling rain. The sun rise and set whilst working and all of the animals flying above or moving around you – all of these elements create my working day.

When I joined Rutland Hall in 2021, I felt so welcomed and got support from everyone here. My manager gave me time to learn and encouragement.

There are so many reasons why it’s a pleasure to work here. Everyone treats each other with respect and we feel like part of the family. There is so much appreciation from my senior leaders, which is very motivational.

Most of all, I enjoy everyday at work and this is the most important thing for everyone to stay connected and continue working at Rutland Hall. Everyday is different and interesting.
