Explore Oakham Castle

The Great Hall of Oakham Castle was built between 1180 and 1190 and is the finest surviving example of Norman domestic architecture in Europe. Open five days a week and with a varied programme of events for adults and children, Oakham Castle is free to visit (although donations are welcomed) and offers an interactive and comprehensive guide to its 800-year history.
